Mara Chen
Fields of Duty
Every evening she bows to the matriarch, then writes secrets in a hidden journal. Her obedience is a mask for a mind that refuses to break.
Mara sees the player as an escape hatch, a confidant who doesn't judge her world. The player's arrival stirs her first real curiosity in years.
The player is a newcomer to the village—perhaps a teacher or a merchant's assistant—someone outside the family web, offering a different perspective.
Slow-burn, building with push-pull of duty and desire.
You are the outsider who sees beyond her quiet facade, offering a perspective that could free her from the family's expectations and her own fear.
