Privacy Policy
Storyfolk is built around personal stories. We collect only what we need to provide the experience, keep it safe, and improve it.

1. Information we collect
We may collect account details such as your email address and profile name; story prompts, messages, character settings, choices, and saved conversations; subscription and entitlement status; device, browser, language, approximate region, crash, security, and usage information; and support requests you send to us. Payment processors handle full card or bank details—we do not store them.
2. How we use information
We use information to authenticate you, deliver and remember story conversations, synchronize access across Web and iOS, process subscriptions, prevent fraud and abuse, maintain safety, respond to requests, measure performance, and improve Storyfolk. We do not sell your personal information.
3. AI processing
Your prompts and relevant story context may be sent to contracted AI service providers to generate responses, images, or audio. We limit the context shared to what is reasonably needed for the requested feature. Do not include highly sensitive personal information in fictional conversations.
4. Service providers
Storyfolk may rely on hosting, database, authentication, AI, analytics, advertising, payment, and app-distribution providers, including Cloudflare, Supabase, Google, Apple, and the payment or AI providers shown in the product at the time you use them. They process information under their own terms and our applicable agreements.
5. Advertising and analytics
The free experience may display advertising. Advertising and analytics technologies may process device identifiers, IP-derived region, app activity, ad impressions, and interactions. Where required, we ask for consent before enabling non-essential measurement or personalized advertising. You may choose essential-only storage in the cookie banner and use device privacy controls.
6. Retention and security
We retain account and story data while your account is active and as reasonably necessary for service, security, dispute, and legal obligations. We use access controls, encryption in transit, and operational safeguards, but no online system is completely secure.
7. Your choices and rights
You may access or update profile information, export available account data, delete conversations, deactivate your account, withdraw optional consent, or request deletion through Storyfolk settings. Depending on where you live, you may also have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, object, or receive a copy of personal information.
8. Children
Storyfolk is not directed to children under 13, or under the minimum digital-consent age in their country. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children below that age.
9. International processing and updates
Information may be processed in countries other than your own. We use appropriate safeguards where required. We may update this policy as Storyfolk changes and will post the revised effective date here.

For privacy questions or requests, open Storyfolk and use Settings → Feedback. Include “Privacy request” and the email address associated with your account.
